Darksburg

Darksburg is now available for PC (Steam), as of September 23!

G4F managed the sound production for Darksburg, the newest release from French-based Shiro Games studio! That includes sound design, mixing, audio QA, and integration (into the studio’s game engine).

Simon Nardou, Lead Sound Designer, was in charge of the sound design for this project:

“The most important thing for our sound design development was to find the best way to illustrate the work and artistic direction created by Shiro Games. It’s a fun game that’s little cartoonish, but which kicks some serious zombie butt.
I really enjoyed making the undead. Coming up with the sound of the zombie horde was especially cool. The challenge was to create the impression they were this threatening mass. I was particularly inspired by Bend Studio’s “Days Gone,” a game where the zombie hordes were really well done.

I had a lot of fun working on this project. The team is awesome, and Darksburg is a great project!”

Darksburg is a co-op roguelite where you can team up with 3 other players to fight off hordes of the Infected. After several months in Early Access development, the most complete version of the game yet is now available, with tons of new systems and major improvements: a new version of the city of Darksburg is now procedurally generated for each game, and as you make your way through the game, you’re offered a wide selection of new skills to let you customize your character.
