Dear crazy mixers ! Mixage Fou the 5th, international sound creation contest, is now open!
It will end on November, 17th (that is more than 5 weeks of participation).
The goal of Mixage Fou is simple – to create an original sound creation out of a single sound bank.
There is a direct download link of the sound bank from “download” menu in the website.
The only limit is length – 80 seconds.
All creation techniques, plugins, transformation tools are allowed!
Formats to play with are :
- surround Auro 3D 9.1 (use of height)
- surround 5.1
- binaural (headphone 3D sound)
- stereo
It is allowed to play once in all formats if you create an original creation each time.
For this 5th anniversary, we prepared a beautiful sound bank of full quality unheard sounds in stereo and surround, provided by our partners and our godfather – Mr Florian Camerer (sound engineer at ORF Austria, surround sound field recordist, and ambassador of recommendation EBU R128).
All contest’s creations will meet the R128 standard , this means a consistent level of listening without a systematic use of compression (respect of original nuances).
You will find an explanation of the different formats, the R128 standard, as well as tools and tutorials to make “Crazy Mixes” the easy way (go on “toolbox” menu). All those tools are free to use and one can participate in all categories with only a good headphone !!
